Join us on this 4-day photo adventure, and experience the glaciers, sun and vistas in this northwest corner of Montana. From vast landscapes to majestic mountains, colorful sunrises to reflecting lakes, and abundant wildlife all make this location a photographer's paradise. ITINERARY

DAY 1: Tue, July 1
Meet & Greet 7:00pm - St. Mary’s Village Lodge

DAYS 2-5: Wed-Sun, July 2 - 6
We will photograph sunrises and sunsets as well as late afternoons, capturing landscapes and trying to find and photograph wildlife as well. Some days will include classes on Creative Composition or Photographing Glacier National Park.

Workshop concludes on Sunday morning after sunrise

INCLUDES

  • FIELD SESSIONS with professional guiding and instruction for sunrise, sunset and other photo sessions

  • WILDLIFE SESSIONS when possible

  • CREATIVE CHALLENGES

  • PROCESSING CLASS during the workshop or via Zoom at a later date

    JKPW is an authorized permittee of the National Park Service

NOT INCLUDED

  • AIRFARE to Glacier National Park Int’l Airport

  • LODGING - Discounted lodging is arranged in St. Mary, UT but is not included in the workshop rate. We’ll provide booking details after registration

  • PARK PASS - A National Park Pass is required and can be purchased upon entry

  • TRANSPORTATION - Many participants choose to ride to field sessions together by carpool

  • MEALS - While meals are not included in the workshop fee, we like to dine as a group to discuss the day’s events and be on hand for any questions

  • GRATUITY - You are responsible for gratuity paid to housekeeping (average of $5 per day), guides, and drivers.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our workshops are designed for all skill levels and involve photographing sunrise and sunsets as well as other field sessions. While workshop locations vary, you should expect to walk relative distances with your equipment. Some workshops are more strenuous than others. If you have any health issues or concerns, please reach out to us prior to registration.

FITNESS LEVEL
MODERATE

The trails we will take during the workshop are rated easy to moderate. You should be in general good health and capable of carrying your own equipment while we are out in the field.

FCA - Glacier Park Int’l

The above airport is the closest airport to our workshop location. You are always welcome to arrive early or depart later and settle in and explore before the workshop begins/ends!

EQUIPMENT

While we recommend certain equipment for our workshop, it’s not necessary for you to participate. Check out what our trip leader’s suggest & plan ahead for rentals, borrowing, etc.. We’ll provide an equipment list to the group as you plan for the workshop.
