ITINERARY

DEPARTURE DAY FROM U.S.
Monday, September 22

DAY 1: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23
You will arrive at the Reykjavik International Airport (KEF). Most flights arrive early in the morning from the U.S. We will greet you at the airport and begin our journey to Vik, Iceland. The town of Vik is small and quaint, but is in close proximity to spectacular photo locations. Upon arrival, we will stop for lunch, get checked in to our hotel, unpack our gear, and start to photograph. Welcome Dinner included.

DAY 2: WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 24
Black sand beaches are host to incredible sea stacks that make for incredible sunrises and sunsets. We will spend our day exploring the coastal wonders of the black sand beach.

DAY 3: THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 25
Waterfalls are everywhere, but there are some more powerful than our imagination. We will visit and stand at the base of waterfalls, photograph long exposures, and capture the power and drama of water.

DAY 4 FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26
Canyons are carved through the mountains providing photo opportunities for our cameras. This region of southern Iceland is filled with old lava fields and beautiful landscapes, all with a back drop of glaciers.

DAY 5: SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27
Today, we will check-out of our Vik hotel, and make a short road trip to our new hotel located on the coast only 12km from the Glacier Lagoon. We will photograph along the way, and of course, the beautiful colors of the Glacier Lagoon for sunset.

DAY 6: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28
Sunrise at the Diamond Coast is every photographers dream, and we will experience this wonder together. Sunrise, ice rushing in with waves, ice details are all waiting for your lens. This experience is truly the most sought after experience, and keeps photographers coming back to Iceland.

DAY 7: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 29
It’s all about the ice in this part of the country, and we will photograph glacier blues, for most of the day. We will also catch a sunset on the eastern shore of the country at one of the most scenic mountain ranges on the coast.

DAY 8: TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30
One final sunrise at the Diamond Coast and stop at the Glacier Lagoon, before departing for the airport. We will depart the hotel at 11:00am and head back to KEF Reykjavik International Airport. Please plan your return flight to the US after 5:00pm.
