Iceland is a land abundant in beauty, from its glaciers to its waterfalls, from seascapes to lagoons. At every corner of the land, there is something uniquely fascinating that offers photographers a chance to discover the magic of the landscape and the artist within. September is an ideal time for photography as the summer crowds have cleared and the skies become more dramatic. Come be inspired by the beauty of Iceland, and see why it attracts photographers from across the globe.

ITINERARY

DAY ONE: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 11
Group pick-up at airport is at 12:00pm local time.
Transport to your hotel in Vik.
Evening Photo Session

DAY 2, 3, 4: MONDAY - WEDNESDAY
We will explore and photograph the many waterfalls and black rock beaches of southwest Iceland for sunrise and sunset.
Black & White processing sessions will be held on Monday and Wednesday.

DAY 5: THURSDAY
We will begin our day with a sunrise photo session in Vik.
After breakfast, we will check out of our hotel and make the journey to the southeast of Iceland, photographing along the way.
Check-in to our Guest House located 12km from the Glacier Lagoon and the Diamond Coast.

DAY 6 & 7: FRIDAY and SATURDAY
We will spend most of our time photographing the ice, glaciers and eastern mountain range of Iceland.
Black & White processing session on Saturday.

DAY 8: SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18
We will have our final sunrise session along the Diamond Coast.
After breakfast, we will check-out of our guesthouse and begin our drive to Keflavik, photographing along the way.
Check-in to hotel at Keflavik airport.
Workshop concludes.

DEPARTURE DAY: MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 19
You may plan your departure for anytime. The hotel is located at the airport, and you will be able to walk directly your airline’s ticket counter.

**IMPORTANT ARRIVAL INFORMATION RELATED TO COVID
Currently, Iceland requires proof of vaccination to enter the country, as well as a negative PCR Covid test required to be taken no more than 72 hours prior to arrival. Iceland is also currently mandating Covid Tests upon arrival. The tests are performed before you go through customs. These tests are free. Tests results can take 4-12 hours. We recommend waiting to book your flight until updated Covid policies can be confirmed. We also recommend that you arrive a day early, and book your room at the airport hotel in case your quarantine wait time for test results takes longer than expected.

INCLUDES

8-DAY / 8-NIGHT WORKSHOP INCLUDES

• 4-nights bed & breakfast at the Hotel Vik Myrdal located in the heart of Vik. The hotel is within walking distance to the beach, and accessible to local shoppes.*

• 3-nights bed & breakfast at Hali Guest House only 12km from the Diamond Coast and Glacier Lagoon.*

• 1-night at the KEF airport hotel.

• Group transportation throughout the workshop (including airport).

• Professional guidance and instruction for all field sessions.

• A minimum of 3 group Black & White processing classes, with instructors available for critique and individual assistance.

*Breakfast is included with your lodging. However, if we photograph longer than breakfast hours, breakfast in town will be your financial responsibility. Other meals are not included in the workshop fee. However, we do like to dine as a group so that we are accessible for questions.

• Trip Insurance
  Please read in full our Cancellation and Refund Policy prior to registration. Trip insurance is required for this workshop.

• Single Supplement Fee
  Workshop fee is based on double occupancy. If you would like a private room, please advise us during or after registration. The single supplement fee is $1800.

• Non-Photographing Spouses
  Spousal Supplement is not available during our Iceland workshop. Space is limited. If a spouse does choose to attend, please register them as a participant.

• **A Covid PCR test may be required to return to the US. We will arrange for testing at local facility. Cost of test not included, but is usually around $55 USD.

• Gratuity

  While lodging is included in your workshop fee, you are responsible for gratuity paid to housekeeping (Average of $5 per day), guides, and drivers.

ADD-ONS

• If you are interested in flying over the glaciers in a small plane and photographing, please let us know. These small planes can hold 2 photographers. 2019 rates were $1800 for roughly an hour session. Please note that we will assist you in booking, and advise you of current costs prior to confirmation. We will provide thorough photo instruction for your aerial tour if you choose to book this add-on.
