Winter Inside Yellowstone
We’ll arrive at locations hours before other day visitors get into the park and we’ll experience better wildlife sightings, fresh fallen snow and frost. There is simply no better way to experience winter.
We provide the highest quality service at the lowest rate possible. We teach because we love photography, not for high profits! We are nearly half the rate of competitor’s workshops and run with a smaller more intimate group, providing nicer accommodations and a great group dynamic.
Our 2025 photo workshop is a special celebration: A Winter to Remember. Escape to winter and stay inside the park for quick access to all the amazing spots for wildlife and landscapes. A private snow coach will escort you through the corners of the park to the most remote and beautiful locations. Imagine the snow covered wildlife, minimalistic landscapes and a geyser basin filled with frost and beauty!
While most workshop companies stay in West Yellowstone or Gardiner, we stay inside Yellowstone throughout this workshop. This gives you the best possible experience.

ITINERARY
DAY 1: Sun, January 19th
Please plan to arrive in BZN no later than 1pm
2 pm depart Bozeman (BZN) on private shuttle for our drive into the park
Check-in at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel
6 pm Welcome Dinner
DAY 2: Mon, January 20th
Depart Mammoth Lodge at 7:30 am on our private snow coach and begin our photographic adventure through the park. Our luggage will be transported in a separate coach so that we have plenty of space for gear. We’ll have a full day of winter fun and photography. Lodging at Snow Lodge by Old Faithful.
DAY 3: Tue, January 21st
Our private snow coach will take you to areas within the park to photograph landscapes, wildlife and winter wonders. We will explore the remote location of Hayden Valley known for wolves, fox and otters. This area is also wonderful for vast, minimalist landscapes with hills of snow and trees. DAY 4: Wed, January 22nd
Our private snow coach will take you to areas within the park to photograph. The geysers at Biscuit Basin and Fountain Paint Pots are spectacular, and we will focus our time going through these locations to capture the best frost and steam landscapes Yellowstone has to offer. Lodging at Snow Lodge at Old Faithful.
DAY 5: Thu, January 23rd
Check-out of Snow Lodge at Old Faithful. Our private snow coach will take you to areas within the park to photograph. Your luggage will be transported for you on another snow coach so there is plenty of space for gear. Lodging at Mammoth Hot Springs Lodge.
DAY 6: Fri, January 24th
Full day exploring the Northeast corner of the park. Your private shuttle will take you through Lamar Valley until the sun goes down. Lodging at Mammoth Hot Springs Lodge.
DAY 7: Sat, January 25th
9 am Depart on private shuttle from Mammoth Hot Springs to BZN. Please book your return flight after 3 pm. If you are unable to get a late afternoon or evening flight, the shuttle can drop you off at the Holiday Inn at Belgrade. This hotel offers free airport shuttle for your return the next day.

GRATUITY - While lodging is included in your workshop fee, you are responsible for gratuity paid to housekeeping (Average of $5 per day), guides, and drivers.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our workshops are designed for all skill levels and involve photographing sunrise and sunsets as well as other field sessions. While workshop locations vary, you should expect to walk relative distances with your equipment. Some workshops are more strenuous than others. If you have any health issues or concerns, please reach out to us prior to registration.
FITNESS LEVEL
MODERATE
You must be able to walk in the snow with your gear and carry your own equipment. You should be in general good health, and expect to walk a decent distance per day.

The above airport is the closest airport. We strongly recommend you plan an early arrival, at least 1 day before the workshop begins to account for winter weather.

SHUTTLE TRANSPORTATION
Private transport will transfer you from either the BZN airport on the day of the workshop or from the Holiday Inn & Suites Belgrade.
If you miss the shuttle, you will be required to drive or taxi to the park.
